Working, requires real work. There is no such thing as easy money unless it is illegal or you win the lottery. Both of those are not great for our mental health so focus on something that will make you money whilst working from home. When I first started my shifts included 7-10pm most week days and also 4am-7am most weekdays, until the kids got up for breakfast. I usually then took a 1-2 hour nap whilst they were at school so that I could recharge myself.

Be Realistic
If you think that you are going to be able to work 12 hour shifts, think again! You will lose your voice and your energy. Log on times are better to be done between 3-4 hour stints. You have to be realistic about how many log on hours you can actually do and when you can do them.

Find your own personal working space
It is no good taking calls whilst your family are running havoc in the next room. You have to find your own personal space to take calls that is quite, relaxed and is not overheard. Keep track of what you are doing
It's great that everything is now automated and computers track our calls etc.. However keeping your own personal call stats and log on hours can give you inspiration to keep pushing yourself. I regularly kept notepads showing how many calls I took in a day, how many log on hours I did and also the money that I had made. It made me feel good about myself and often I wanted to better my previous record.

Do the Callers know my details?
Absolutely not! All of your details are confidential and we do not sell your details to any 3rd parties. We send you calls when you are logged on and the caller cannot trace your number through this method. Also if you look at it another way, if the callers knew your telephone number, how would we make any money! So we can assure you that callers do not know your personal details.

Why can I only take calls on a landline?
Currently (apart from USA Operators) all operators have to take calls on a landline, as transferring the calls to a mobile costs too much per minute. If you are an operator in the US, then you can take calls on your cell phone as the cost is the same to transfer the call.

Does it cost me to log on to the service?
To log on, we give you a local telephone number to call. They are not premium rate or national rate. The same applies for our international operators. To log on and off takes less than 30 seconds and if you have free minutes on your mobile, you can log on and off through your mobile however the calls will always come through to your landline.

Can I work whenever I like?
Yes! There are calls coming into the service 24 hours a day. We take a lot of international traffic, so even at 3 am in the morning, you will be receiving lots of calls (if you are logged on!) We do ask all operators to log on for a minimum of 20 hours per week, just because we are very busy. If you cannot do 20 hours per week but you can do 15-16 hours per week, please telephone our team in the office before you apply.

Do you talk about illegal stuff?
No No No!! We only allow our operators to talk about legal content. If a caller does mention anything illegal, you are trained on how to terminate the call. Illegal content on the service is quite rare, as every caller knows that the calls are recorded.

Do you record all of my calls?
Yes. We are regulated in the UK and all of our calls that come into the phone sex service are recorded. Due to the regulations, we have to record all of our calls. We sometimes listen to calls for call quality and to ensure that operators are abiding by the regulations.

When are the busiest times?
Whenever you log on, you will receive calls. However the real hot spots are weekends (all day), dinner time from 4pm and anything after 9pm in the evening. Day times are really busy as well, especially during the lunch period. These are just the hot spots that we see, when ever you log on, your call volume will be healthy.

How do you Pay me?

Being nervous is part of the parcel when taking on a chat line operator job. In fact if you were not nervous or apprehensive then you may need to get in touch with your emotional side a bit more! Companies do not make millions every year as everyone thinks:

Basically we charge our customers per minute to use the service and therefore we have to pay operators per minute as well. With this said there are lots of calls to take, in-fact that is why we are always recruiting because our traffic levels fortunately and thankfully are always increasing!

You NEED an interesting Story / Character
As per my earlier posts, you really need to pay attention to your phone sex character. She needs to be interesting, sexy, fun and most of all do something that gives you lots to talk about. Currently my character is studying at university, she is doing her History degree which she is finding immensely interesting. This actually fits in with my real life because I adore History and I research on different eras quite thoroughly so I can actually talk about it with my callers also. You NEED to set yourself Goals

The calls are there, you just need to put your heart into making the right amount of money for you.

You are selling your voice
Whoever told you that PSO work was a piece of cake, obviously only took 2 calls. Some companies may promise you the world, however if they do not have high traffic levels then you will NOT make money. Without calls, you will not earn. As it happens LiveLines is extremely busy and we average calls every 1-2 minutes for each operator. This is good news if you are taking sex calls for making money.

Log On!!!
There is no point in logging on for 5 hours a week and expect to earn tons of money. Firstly your regular callers cannot get back to you and secondly you won't receive many calls because you are only logged on for 5 hours! Set yourself personal shifts, for example if the kids go to bed at 8pm make your personal shift 8.30pm-11pm Monday - Friday. Or if your kids go to school / nursery make sure your log on hours are when they are at school. Don't skimp on your hours, don't put it off and make it work to your advantage. Treat this as a real job with you performing real shifts that are flexible around your life.

Your Attitude!
If you answer every call with a boring "hello" and you sound half asleep then your calls are going to be dreadful. You need to answer each call like a fresh daisy. You have to be happy, in tune with what the caller is speaking about and of course acting sexy as well. If he wants boring he will call his Gran. You are different, you are an experience - keep it that way, even after your 50th call.

Your Character!
If you are Jane the stay at home single Mum that is fine. However if you are Jane the stay at home single Mum that adores war documentaries, loves to party on a Saturday and has a fetish about roast dinners then yes Jane does sound more interesting and this is the kind of character that you want to use. You've got to remember that the caller really does not want to speak about himself (if he does this is unusual), he doesn't want to tell you that he is 50 and is divorced, instead he wants to listen all about you - this is what he is paying for! So ensure that your character is interesting, it is a MUST!

No Sex yet!
A lot of ladies rush into the sex chat because that is what they think callers like. YES THEY DO! However this will not make you a lot of money. If you start talking about big dicks before the first minute your call will last approximately 2 minutes. You need to lead the call, be bubbly and talk about yourself before mentioning sex. Sometimes of course this method will not work but on the majority of calls it will work and your call times will last much longer. So leave the sex until at least the third minute of the call!

Your regular callers
Some operators earn loads of money just from repeat callers and it really bumps up their weekly revenue amount. You need to give your PIN number out to every single caller. I normally say, "You sound absolutely lovely, this is my PIN number and I am back on tomorrow at 7 pm." You need to promote yourself as much as you can as this will definitely increase your revenue.

Of course practice always makes perfect and my calls are totally different from when I first started. If you do feel that you are not making enough money from being a Phone Sex operator then you really need to sit yourself down and find a method that increases your calls because the calls are there and the callers want to speak to you!

Abusive Phone Sex Callers

Yes my friends abusive phone sex callers are a reality and one that puts many would be operators off taking chat line calls. However I am here to tell you abusive phone sex callers can be turned into callers that can be quite profitable for you and there really is no need to fear the dreaded abusive caller.

I learnt very early on how to deal with these adorable men and it turned out to be an easy formula that works time and time again. Unfortunately for us chat line operators we cannot gauge or predict who will be on the other end of the phone so we have to arm ourselves with formulas or ways that can make the call easier but also profitable for us, because that is why we are all here right?

Why do abusive callers ring?
Well it's either because they are deranged, they do not like females or they are drunk and for each reason we can apply the same amazing protection formula which should help us to seamlessly deal with these pesky types of callers.

How often do you receive abusive callers?
Not very often. In fact I wish they would call more because they make me laugh and the calls are normally very long in duration. I would say that you receive an abusive call around once every 2 months and some vary in their abusive degrees.

Do abusive callers affect you?
A resounding NO! You have to remember that these callers only know the sound of your voice. They do not know where you live, what you look like or even what your real name is! If you are being hurled abuse, who cares because he doesn't know the real you anyway!

Can I terminate an Abusive caller?
YES! If you feel that an abusive phone sex caller is making you feel uneasy then yes you can terminate the call and you probably will do this with your first few callers however I definitely would suggest that you try my tips because it will help you to make money from these types of callers.

Top 5 Abusive Phone Sex remarks and my answers:

1) He calls you a dirty slag: My answer: "Yes you are correct. In fact I'm the biggest slag you've probably ever spoken to and the people in my town know me as the local bike because I've slept with so many men. You are not telling me anything I do not know darling."

2) He tells you that God will never love you: My answer: "Unless you are Jesus which I doubt very much due to your aggressive manner, you and no one else can tell me if God loves me but thank you for your input."

3) I bet you are just a fat old hag: My answer: "Thank you for your observations. Since I was 18 I've been pilling on the pounds and I am now a mega size 24 and counting. I love my roles of fat and since you can see me so clearly over the telephone I hope that you appreciate them too!"

4) You are shit at Phone Sex: My answer: "I'm sorry that I cannot get your tiny 2 inch dick to work. Perhaps you need to lay off the drink and then maybe you might be able to perform with it. You may then be able to please a woman which is what you should be able to do but are clearly lacking with that skill."

Of course there are more than 5 ways that an abusive phone sex caller likes to portray his unsuspecting chat line operator target! The main way to combat any sort of abuse is either to cleverly use wit or to be just as abusive. I like to use wit because let's face it most abusive people cannot string a sentence together let alone understand wit and this leaves them in a state of confusion which prompts them to either end the call or extend the call!

Which ever type of caller you receive always make sure that the caller never sees your emotions. If he calls you a dirty slag and you start breaking down then his goal have been achieved. Always have the upper hand, lead the call and disregard what you sound like.

I am a big believer in always treating every caller with respect but of course there are some exceptions and these guys are the exception! I will say however that abusive sex line callers are quite infrequent and in any line of work you are going to experience some sort of behavior towards you that you will not favour or enjoy. The best way to deal with anyone disrespecting you is to shrug them off and forget about them because let's face it they must have something wrong with them to muster so much hatred energy just to be abusive! I'd rather make myself a cup of tea and start on a good book!

This post is not supposed to put you off becoming a Chat Line operator instead it is to show you that real life can happen on these types of services and that the best way to overcome them is really just to forget them and move on!

My point of this post is that just from experience I know that a lot of men call from all types of backgrounds who are of all ages and who all desire one thing and that is to be completely entertained on their phone by a seductive chat line operator who is able to engage within their fantasy in a professional yet sexy manner.

He does it because he is Lonely
The big L word has many negative aspects surrounding it. No one wants to feel that they have been left on the heap and that society is not concerned with them anymore. When loneliness creeps in most people want to banish that feeling as soon as possible and what better way to do that than to pick up the phone and speak to a sexy lady on the other end. Time and time again I've spoken to men who have just divorced or have left a long term relationship and their first words uttered are that they are doing nothing and wanted some company.

He does it because of his Fantasy
OK so he loves cucumbers inserted into his rectum or he wants to be dressed in stockings and suspenders whilst whipped in front of a mirror. Or he even loves the thought of giving another man oral sex. All of these things are pretty hard to bring up with his wife or long term partner let alone his new fancy piece who he has only known for 3 months. Normally they grow out of it once they have secured a relationship but can return upon relationship breakup.

He does it because it is his Hobby
I love these callers because they are my bread and butter. They love sex lines and call daily. We give them a perfect service and they are satisfied until they want their next "phone fix" and no we are not exploiting them, if they can afford the service and want to call well there is no problem. Hobby callers tend to suffer from one of the 5 reasons above.

So as you can see Phone Sex Psychology is something quite complex and many callers move between all 5 reasons throughout the years. It takes time and calls to categorize each caller but if I'm honest when you start doing this it helps your call duration's and gives the caller a much better experience. My final tip is that as a chat line or phone sex operator you need patience and understanding about men and their behavior in order to be successful. Without these skills you will miss out on key information and thus your entertainment period will be short! So put your "I love men" head on whilst taking calls and give each and every caller the very best phone sex service they could ever receive.

Making Money from Phone Sex?

It's the age old saying, "sex always sells." And it truly does time and time again. This is not a man hating post in any sense by the way, in fact I love men and their quirky ways and I respect every caller that I speak to. This post is about exploring phone sex as an alternative way to making money from home. As with every revenue making stream there are the good ways to do it and unfortunately the bad ways too. I want you to read these tips because I want you to be successful at phone sex. It's a flexible job with no childcare issues and no office politics to deal with. It sounds perfect right? It can be if you do it correctly and I'm here to tell you the best ways to do it:

Self promotion: Your PIN number is like gold. You need to give this to every caller possible whilst also informing them of when you will next be logged on. Repeat callers earn you tons of money. I would even write notes on each repeat caller you have so that you do not forget their fantasies or what they have told you to date, this then makes the connection between you and him solid. The repeat caller wants to feel valued and they definitely will if you remember their favourite football team!

Logging on: Without logging on you will not receive calls! When working from home you need that self discipline to set your own working hours - that you need to stick to. It’s no good logging on here and there as your repeat callers will never be able to get back to you! Set yourself shifts and set the shifts that work in harmony around your family life. You cannot expect to earn good money if you only log on for 5 hours a week!  

It's like Telesales: As with selling on the phone you too are also selling your voice. You need to set yourself personal targets so that you stay focused with each call as each call is a money making revenue stream for you. Try to beat your hold time, your revenues or even your log on hours. Keep focused on every caller and monitor your call durations closely. All telesales agents have targets they need to achieve, set your own targets and watch your revenue increase.

Your voice: Do you sound bored on the phone? Tired, miserable or stressed? If you do then your calls will be considerably shorter than they should be. Any man can speak to a miserable woman and they definitely want something different when calling a phone sex line. If you've been taking calls for a while then you may need to spruce up your character, opening lines and your tone of voice. These are positive changes for your calls and are well worth checking every now and again. Each time I log on I have a different story, for example this weekend I am visiting The British Museum because I adore history and London. Keep it fresh at all times.  

Gelling with the caller: Even though we are chat line operators our first point of call is to make the caller feel relaxed and to let him know that we understand him. It sounds like new age rubbish but when your mirror the caller he will definitely start to appreciate your efforts. You cannot get on with everyone but if we try our very best we may just be able to connect with each caller, thus extending our call durations. Some callers can be slightly annoying but you have to remember that they are a paying customer and deserve our respect and patience at all times.

If you are a new Chat Line Operator from home you need to realize that it may take time for you to produce really outstanding calls. Your nerves may get the better of you and you are still learning the tricks of the trade. After about 3 weeks you should take these calls in your stride and start to look at ways of extending all of your call durations because this makes you more money.
